Who this covers

This policy covers the website of The Law Office of Joseph R. Abdalla, A.P.C. (the firm), located at https://abdallalaw.com. It does not cover information you give the firm as a client. That information is protected by the attorney-client relationship, the California Rules of Professional Conduct, and the firm's engagement agreement, which control over anything here.

What the site collects

• What you send through the contact form. Your name, telephone number, email address, the kind of matter, and the message you write. Nothing is collected from the form until you press Send.
• Server logs. Like every website, the server records the address your connection comes from, the pages requested, the time, and the browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for a limited period.

What the site does not do

• It does not sell, rent or share your information for marketing.
• It does not use advertising, remarketing or tracking cookies.
• It does not run third-party analytics. The only cookie the site sets is a session cookie that lets the contact form work. It expires 30 minutes after your last page view.

How a message is used

A message sent through the form is delivered to the firm's mailbox and used to reply to you and, if you become a client, to open your file. Please do not include confidential details about your matter until the firm has confirmed in writing that it represents you. See the disclaimer.

California residents

The firm is a small business and may fall below the thresholds at which the California Consumer Privacy Act applies. Whether or not it does, you may ask what personal information the site holds about you, ask that it be deleted where the law allows, and you will not be treated differently for asking. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Links

The site links to Google Maps for directions. Google's privacy policy applies once you leave this site.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
